((Note: This is adding evidence that Saffron is meant to be done after Fuchsia, as far as I'm concerned. The route east from Fuchsia has higher-level Trainers than the route west, and now we discover that the route east from Fuchsia has a higher-leveled Rod. Why does that mean anything about Saffron? Nothing - except that the route from Celadon is the 'earlier' route, and has Trainers lower-leveled than Silph Co. Hm.))

...And then I realized [I THOUGHT] that Dig would have gotten me to the Center without the need to play chicken. Turns out it doesn't, but oh well.))

((Fortunately, his HP LITERALLY halted at 1 HP... with the message that he was now Poisoned. I... I, dang, I think that's the literal closest you can get to death in a Nuzlocke without actually being locked into dying. I... ahahahaha....))

Syaoran: Good heavens, we almost lost you...

((I did this because I'd completely forgotten the position of the Biker in my blind panic, and if I began falling downwards immediately after the battle due to Cycling Road being what it is, I didn't want to lose Monarch's 1 HP miraculous survival to overworld poisoning.

Seriously. Severe arrogance on my part, and I paid for it. Poor Monarch. I'd feel genuinely guilty if he'd been eliminated by my stupidity.))


Monarch: I DO NOT.
Syaoran: Are you all right?
Monarch: Yes... I think I'll make it...


Syaoran: ...Let's not risk it, nonetheless.

((I'm skipping the IC narration here because I have a stabbing headache tonight. It's okay - I've had these before, and know it will be gone by tomorrow - but still, can't be bothered to do Syaoran's narration here.

Suffice to say I thought this would be a difficult and tricky battle - I remembered some fights with Koga not going well when I played this game as a child, and I'd heard horror stories about his Weezing. I was therefore going to gear up for it and do grand narration and all of that...

...But, um, it didn't exactly go that way, much like the Misty battle didn't go as expected. You'll see.))
