I am. But I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it WAS actually in a Corific and we just missed it.
Desmond: Hmph! You have one measly flashback scene in one measly hidden gaiden chapter most people don't bother with and you're a woobie. I was the fucking KING OF BERN and everyone cheered when I died! Guinevere: The entire plot of FE6 was YOUR FAULT, Father. Walhart!Morgan: MY daddy said he was gonna put my head through a wall to help me remember. D:
Yep. D:
Team Rocket: We could whip up something on the cheap...
Misty: The sooner the better! D: I don't wanna end up married to Brock! Brock: Hey! D:
And once Jessie got over her disorder, more food porn than you can shake a breadstick at.
Yeah, I tend to assume positive things about pairings that aren't fundamentally broken. A lot of stuff can be patched over with fanwank.
Yep. XD
They're STILL horribly unstable and co-dependent. It's just that they never have any sort of crisis again because Cori's hand-waving it away to make it all better. If Cori actually allowed them to have any sort of conflict, they'd crash right back into the same old behavior patterns. They DON'T change. At all. It's just that we get French Toast Glurge all the time. D|
And all crises are via external forces like Ash Ketchum or being late to a movie. And they're definitely co-dependent, even if the instability is more "we can't live without each other or nearly murdering Ash Ketchum!" and hopelessly clinging to their magic wicca and mystical psychic dreams.
Oh dear. XD Well, Essie is very much against Ninian being an Action Girl. So maybe instead she could have Ninian *gasp* raise her voice!
And remember, they have to make love in purple prose for four hours. While Nils is all tsundere about it but is secretly glad about his sister getting laid. And Hector goes AUUUUUGH. And Lyn sighs and goes off to her appointment to weep into Rath's arms about how no one could ever love a mixed-race child like her. And...
And Nino cries on Jaffar about her awful family situation and how Sonia messed her up so badly she thinks she's unworthy of being loved. While Rebecca and Lowen make a huge delectable feast out of three peaches, an apple, some stale bread, one underweight pheasant and two rabbits.
True, Jessie did have a pretty crappy childhood. But like you said, it doesn't seem to affect her in canon as much as it does in Corific. We know her mom disappeared and she likely never knew her dad. And that she was poor. And that she got screwed over by some boyfriends. But James was physically and mentally ABUSED. I get that Cori was trying to say "Jessie is not Jessiebelle because she actually likes James for who he is"-and in canon, I can sorta buy it since Jessie DOES care about James in her own fucked up way. But she still beats the crap out of him and still looks like Jessiebelle.
