"Yeah, getting sulky over the world ending is pretty much a given." 'YOU DAMN EMO TEENS! STOP ACTING LIKE THE WORLD IS EN- oh wait it is, nvm'
"They really are. Even when I redeemed them in my big stupid anti-Cori headcanon they were still far from angelic. Especially Cassidy, I headcanon her as having been a bratty kid and never 100% growing out of it." My fanon for them is that they're both borderline-sociopaths (in good part due to environmental factors, in all fairness), and they don't make a big deal out of it. Meh, they're unethical, they don't need to make any big speeches about how awesome they are for it or how eeeevil they are. They are completely secure in their criminality.
In Coriverse, they're probably rolling their eyes at how far off the cliff Jessie and James have gone and then settling back down to their latest con. Though I imagine the New Directions behavior would cause even them to be taken aback. They're not adverse to violence if it's strictly necessary to keep a con going, but they favor the more intellectual type of racket. Brutality for the sake of brutality's distastefully thuggish, and the sheer enjoyment of it in New Directions would creep out even these hardened criminals.
"I so wish they'd added the execs and Silver to the anime." They should have. Would have given them things to do with TR other than Jessie And James Still Chasing After That Pikachu.
"(She did. But see, One Big Happy Crime Family ought to ENJOY committing crimes. They're not nicknamed the Mafia of the Pokeworld by fans for no reason, after all! >:P)" Well, TR enjoys committing crimes when Cori slips up with the 'sympathy'. It's just that they get a get-out-of-jail-free card for twagic backstowies for all their crimes. The total woobie fluffiness is my problem. XP Make them sympathetic all you like, but don't just let them off the entire damn hook!
