I'm older than almost everyone I know on the internet now. It's part of being someone of an older generation than the Millenials, but younger than the Baby Boomers, and there are more Millenials online in the spaces I frequent than Baby Boomers. Gen Xers are kinda squished, but I got used to it a while ago. When the first kids who didn't remember the 80s started showing up online and talking about their college classes, though, I felt ancient for a while.

I think part of my problem is that I perceive a lot of things as Things That Need To Be Done, and if I have too many out in the open I just... can't decide. Like, everything is higher-priority than everything else, and so nothing gets done. Is that an attention-deficit issue?

I don't know, but I have it too. I have a lot of other attention-deficit seeming things, but I've never been diagnosed, but then I always got good grades and behaved well, and was a kid before diagnosing attention-deficit disorders was common, which means...? I dunno. But what you're talking about is a definite Thing and I have it too and it is a serious problem. The best way for me to actually accomplish something is to have an outside force tell me to prioritize one thing, but it has to be an outside source with the ability to reward me in some tangible way; social rewards aren't enough.

I wish I could be more help. If you figure it out, let me know.
