...So.

I could have won it on the tenth try via time-out. But then I wouldn't have gotten the Guiding Ring. ****ING Peg. Knight clusterf****!

Ser Deadwood has been replaced by Kent, long may he reign. ("Wait," you ask, "why are you using KENT when you expressed a fervent belief in Sain's greatness?" Because. in the land of the excruciatingly painful cluster****, 11 DEF/3 RES >10 DEF/0 RES. That's why.)

AHAHAHAHA OH GAD. MADE IT ALL THE WAY ON TRY ELEVEN. FINAL TURN. MATTHEW DASHED DOWN AND GRABBED THE GUIDING RING, AND SWORDSMASTER GUY, SUPPORTED BY PRISCILLA, DEALT THE FINAL BLOWS WITH A STEEL SWORD. OH GAD, THAT WAS NERVE-WRACKING. JUST SAVED AND TURNED OFF MY DS. MY HEART. BE STILL, MY FREAKING HEART.

MVPS: Oswin, Guy!!!, Hector, Kent (as a substitute wall)
Second tier: Priscilla, Lucius
Necessary oddball: Matthew
Came in handy at a few points: Rebecca

H-holy crud... I never want to do that level again... not unless I have a pre-promoted Kent/pre-promoted Sain or something... Oh gad. NO. That was...

Okay, imagine two solid rows of the pirate ship filled with enemies. THAT was what awaited me if I didn't immediately go on the offensive using Javelin!Oswin, Hand Axe!Hector, and ZOMGWTF!Guy. And the Peg. Knights - dear gad, you know how in some games, you have to do  a sort of flash-dance to take out regenerating parts of the boss before it can fire its ultimate, all-parts-needed attack? Well, that perfectly describes the Peg. Knights. I had to do a ridiculous shuffle every turn they came up to take Matthew, Lucius, Rebecca, and Priscilla out of their ranges.

And that was with Arena Abuse on Guy. (And a little on Lucius, to be fair, but he overkilled the Shamans so ridiculously that it wasn't necessary. This is an awesome Lucius - pray that he doesn't get RNG-bombed in the next 9 or so levels.)

Ahahahaha... Holy cripes... Not doing that again any time soon. Wow.

Now, onto The Dread Isle, aka "Fog, fog, and more fog!" And Fiora, of course. Musn't forget Fiora. And a clusterf... I mean, Orion's Bolt, if I can get Matthew to sprint down to Uhai in under 15 turns and have Sword Saint Guy of the Kutolah bid a sad farewell to his fellow plainsman. It may even be manageable, since Sword Saint Guy's girlfriend is getting a lovely ring as thanks for her support at sea.

Hehehehe. Two promoted units by The Dread Isle (one of them a magic unit, sadly - will just have to be moral support on Imprisoner of Magic)? This mode may be doable after all.

*points to icon* I may be on that chapter soon enough...
