Fantasy Wishlist if there was ever a FE7/FE6 remake:
The Tactician would have the Avatar system. For added fanservice, the creation/tutorial process could start like this:
[black screen]
Voiceover/Text: ...You wake. Excellent.
Do you remember your name?
[enter name]
Voiceover/Text: ...Yes. Yes. Good.
Do you remember your form?
[designate appearance and gender]
Voiceover/Text: Ha! Marvelous!
Do you remember your strengths?
[designate Strength/Flaw/more-features-if-added]
Voiceover/Text: Heh heh heh... Wonderful.
Now. Do you remember the last thing
that happened to you?
[Screen fades to white, then to battle screen]
Renault: [Name]! If we make it through this,
I'd say we've got enough to live like kings, eh?
[Name]: It's about time. Now, let's clean up
this trash!
[A tutorial battle with several weak soldiers and
an underpowered boss commences]
[Cutscene follows]
Renault: (voiceover) We did it! I -
[A foe leaps out of hiding and starts swinging his
axe towards Renault]
[Name]: (voiceover) Renault! Look out!
[[Name] knocks Renault out of the path of the blow,
putting himself/herself right into it; the last thing
onscreen is [Name's] bare hand, raised helplessly
to ward off the oncoming battleaxe]
[the screen goes red as the earlier voiceover laughs]
[fade-in to the canon Chapter 1]
I don't know whether the Avatar/Everyone pairings would persist from Awakening, though. On the one hand, it would be interesting. On the other hand, this would create some awkwardness, particularly with strongly implied prior pairings. (Pent and Louise are immune for obvious reasons, but I'm talking about the rest.) But *through gritted teeth* I... suppose... I could... tolerate... Tactician/Nino / Tactician/Jaffar... I suppose...
And in recognition of the Fire Emblem series's new, expanded pairing dynamics, more pairings would likely be introduced to FE7 and FE6 for traditionally few-marriage characters. This would possibly include both Ninian/Hawkeye and Ninian/Tactician! To which I can only say that we all have our own preferences, we must respect different people's points of view and acknowledge the validity of different interpretations, and ELIWOOD/NINIAN SHIPPERS KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE.
(I'm joking, actually. Hawkeye/Ninian would be interesting. And I'm sure Tactician/Ninian could be pulled off well. )
Moving on to less rabid topics...
Bosses would have the ability to Pair Up, and this would be an important tactical consideration on certain levels. Most of the time, it would just be a marginal stat boost from pairing with a generic soldier/Morph, but if you don't kill or box Lloyd and Linus in on Light in time to stop them from pairing up? ...Ahaha, I hope you like pain.
(This would also result in certain changes to the plot, such as Limstella surviving and retreating from Victory or Death in order to Pair Up with Nergal. My best guess on how to handle THAT one would be an Athos-Canas Pair Up with double Luna, but I really don't know. Certainly something to haunt a player's nightmares.)
I think Jahn-Idoun would pair (with Jahn in front, Idoun emerging from behind him as the 'true' boss once he fell), Zephiel-Brunya, the obnoxious bandit siblings in Living Legend, and... I don't know, Darin-Ephidel? (With Ephidel fleeing upon Darin's death.) It would be reserved for real this-is-going-to-be-a-bitch boss fights.
(On the bright side, remember that your characters can Pair Up, too! It would be entertaining if certain pairs got exclusive boss-convos. Like Jaffar-Nino versus Sonia, for instance, or Hector-Eliwood versus Erik.)
But most notably for FE6, inheritance would be a mechanic. Not sure how it would be handled in an FE7/FE6 remake, since it would make Lilina much bulkier than anticipated, but it would be fun to try. (And, for similar reasons, it would be nice to give a boost to Ninian for unlocking 19xx. Let her inherit Shadowgift from Daddy or something of the like.) You could pass down hilarious combos to the next gen. Would justify FE6's difficulty...
[I'm not sure what to do to the Tactician and spawn. I don't know of any Morganesque character one could justify including in FE6. Obviously, since this is just a fantasy wishlist, I don't need to make one up, but... still.]
Second Seals would be rare and used strategically. In particular, Renault would almost qualify as an unlockable character depending on whether you had a spare Second Seal when you got to him - in his default Bishop class, he'd be pathetic, but he'd turn into a complete monster if you 'promoted' him back to Hero. Boo-yeah. :P
On the story side, the Tactician's personality would be expanded upon a bit more. Whether an Arcadia refugee, a Morph, the first Morph, an ordinary Eturian, Awakening!Morgan, or whatnot, it wouldn't matter - they would receive more development, since they'd become an actual character. (And if 'Morph' was the route the designers chose, the Tactician would have his/her own private showdown with Nergal, complete with the whole
...A nice diversion to think about, anyway. What would you include, if you could? :)

And yeah, the pairing mechanics being changed would generate the Elibe ship wars ALL OVER AGAIN. Diehard "canonshippers" for EliNini, Nino/Jaffar, etc would throw so many shitfits. And yeah, Pent/Louise would stay as is. And Bartre/Karla. And Canas couldn't marry because he IS married, lol. But you could pair Isadora with Sain or Geitz.
BEING ABLE TO RECLASS RENAULT WOULD BE AWESOME.
I would include the event tiles where people could find random rare objects/weapons/etc, or have little relationship-boosting conversations.
Roy would have Manakete as a reclass option if Ninian is his mother, and Cavalier from Fiora. Lyn would def pass down myrmidon. Farina and Fiora would allow Lilina to become a Pegasus knight while Lyn, of course, myrmidon. Serra would pass down Cleric, and if Eliwood could marry Rebecca she'd pass down Archer and Roy would get lots of skill growth. Also, if Jaffar fathered the twins they could reclass to thief.
Oh, and same-sex S supports, too. Because of Lyn/Florina and Raven/Lucius.

OH GAD, OSWIN+MOUNTED PAIR-UPS. I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT. *FANGASMS*
"And yeah, the pairing mechanics being changed would generate the Elibe ship wars ALL OVER AGAIN. Diehard "canonshippers" for EliNini, Nino/Jaffar, etc would throw so many shitfits. And yeah, Pent/Louise would stay as is. And Bartre/Karla. And Canas couldn't marry because he IS married, lol. But you could pair Isadora with Sain or Geitz."
I forgot about Canas. XD And yes, I guess Bartre and Karla would be ~predestined~. :P
Hey, don't forget pairing Isadora with Legault or Renault! Holy heck, maybe Hero!Renault would make up for her stats in the resulting spawn. @_@ (On the other hand, the f!Mark/Renault shippers might get militant if they took the Mark=Renault's-friend route. I don't know. :P)
(Meanwhile, in the shipwar RP, Essie would blow a fuse if Harken/Vaida was an allowed pairing. Doubly so if anyone pressed her to say whether or not she'd prefer to break up her precious Heath/Priscilla in order to have Vaida wed... ;P )
"Roy would have Manakete as a reclass option if Ninian is his mother, and Cavalier from Fiora. Lyn would def pass down myrmidon."
*nodnod* Though Cavalier is a class that Eliwood would probably already have, since he's a Knight Lord... Maybe Wyvern? I don't know how you'd shanghai him into getting a Wyvern, but maybe once he got allies from Bern.
"Eliwood could marry Rebecca she'd pass down Archer and Roy would get lots of skill growth. Also, if Jaffar fathered the twins they could reclass to thief."
Holy-! O_O Eliwood/Rebecca... is a disturbingly good point.
Hey, think of the Lyn pairings! Sure, Sain/Lyn might be out because he's giving Kent a chance, but you could have Matthew/Lyn. Not to mention that all the Mark/Lyn fanboys would finally have their dreams come true. ('MARKLYN IZ TEH CANUN & EVERY1 ELSE SUX - 4 REAL THIS TIME!!!')
"Oh, and same-sex S supports, too. Because of Lyn/Florina and Raven/Lucius."
In all fairness, I CAN see why there were none in Awakening - first-gen S-supports were all about spawning children, and losing out on kids because of a ship is too far even for moderately devoted shippers. But if the pairings have no pre-slated children? YESPLZ.
no subject
Yeah, Bartre/Karla is kind of an unbreakable OTP for me. XD; Even if Vaida/Karla is super hot.
(Meanwhile, in the shipwar RP, Essie would blow a fuse if Harken/Vaida was an allowed pairing. Doubly so if anyone pressed her to say whether or not she'd prefer to break up her precious Heath/Priscilla in order to have Vaida wed... ;P )
AHAHAHAHAHA totally. And Molly would have a fangasm over Heath and Vaida being able to marry, along with Isadora/Renault.
*nodnod* Though Cavalier is a class that Eliwood would probably already have, since he's a Knight Lord... Maybe Wyvern? I don't know how you'd shanghai him into getting a Wyvern, but maybe once he got allies from Bern.
Ooh, wyvern rider!Roy! (Hey, no one explains where Lissa and Maribelle's sudden pegasi come from.)
oh God Lyn pairings. Lyn/Mark would become the new Robin/Lucina. XD Or worse...Mark/LILINA.
Yeah, if Lissa could marry Maribelle for reals you'd lose out on Owain and Brady unless the game said "magical lesbian pregnancy? why not?". And that's not even going into Chrom/male!Robin either. But yes, Lyn has no pre-slated kids and Raven and Lucius basically run the orphanage. Or Lucius does and Raven lurks like a creeper.
no subject
NOMAD TROOPER LYN OMG <3
(Technically, I'd think she'd be a Nomad -> Nomad Trooper as her alternate branch, since Nomads are basically Sacae's archers, right?)
Hero!Eliwood would make a hilarious amount of sense, but it might be too bulky for his usual stat distribution. TBH I'd favor Myrmidon more with him,
probably because he got stat-screwed one too many times. Plus, Rapier kinda feels like more of a 'light' weapon than the Heroes' usual bulky swords.Don't tell Chrom I said thatFair point. :P I just forgot the OTHER locked-in pairings of FE because only Pent and Louise come pre-blocked from A-ranking (or S-ranking, in this variant) with anyone else. :D;;
And Canon-Boy would have a nervous breakdown. 'I - but - it - That wasn't in the ORIGINAL - ASJGKHJLPOIU!!'
Fair point. :P But in Elibe, Wyvern Riders are specifically tied to Bern, so I'd have to justify giving him the training for one. (Kinda like how it would be more awkward to have people be suddenly!Peg. Knights in Elibe, since there's a big deal about Pegasus Knights being tied to Ilia. Waaay more excusable in Awakening, in my opinion, since every nation and their dog seems to have troops of any variety, with the possible exception of Plegia's Dark Mages.)
Oh dear. o_o Lemme guess, that's the male!Robin equivalent of Chrom/f!Robin as far as the fanbase goes?
I ship it too, but not in an end-all be-all way. And justice requires me to ship f!Robin/Lucina as well, provided that, uh, Chrom is married to SOMEONE ELSE.*thumbs-up* It would be nice to have Rath/Rebecca or something as a Rath pairing so Sue had the chance to have multiple non-Random-Sacean mommies. :P But aside from that, S!ranks for non-pre-slated-kid-parents for the win! :D
...Now I'm beginning to really wish this was a real game... D:

Good point...I just figured it might give him a boost in strength, but Swordmasters have decent strength too. At least in Awakening-world.
Yep. Pent/Louise is a given but most people don't even KNOW about Karla unless they play Hector's route and fulfill the requirements. Guide Dang It!
Poor Canon-boy, lol. And Mila and Milos would be on fucking cloud nine. "YES! Finally, I can actually make my preferred fanon pairings!" "YES! Finally, everyone has the chance to be a badass!"
Aah. Yeah, didn't think of that...pegasus!Lilina would at least be excusable with "oh it's the child of her mom's pegasus".
Oh dear. o_o Lemme guess, that's the male!Robin equivalent of Chrom/f!Robin as far as the fanbase goes? I ship it too, but not in an end-all be-all way. And justice requires me to ship f!Robin/Lucina as well, provided that, uh, Chrom is married to SOMEONE ELSE.
It's getting there. But in this case it's not a large number of fans but one particular, very obnoxious fan who keeps stanning for the ship and bashing her other pairings and insisting that pairing the Avatar with the second gen kids makes the best Morgan and that Avatar/parent pairings are inferior. (Oooh, f!Robin/Lucina...I only wish those supports were done better. Because I'd ship it.)
Rath/Rebecca! :D And Rath/Fiora or Farina, Rath/Priscilla...oh, and I forgot Dorcas couldn't pair with anyone either cause Natalie.
no subject
In all fairness, even Great-Knight!Oswin might be a bit unbalancing. XD;; Rekka's high-HP, high-Atk, high-Def units were kind of built with the expectation that they wouldn't be able to move very fast, so they were given pretty dang good growths to compensate. :P
TBH, I prefer Nomad!Lyn to Archer!Lyn just because she'd be mounted. :P Plus, Nomad-Trooper!Lyn critical would be so badass. And you'd get to see it a ton with the Mani Katti!
"Good point...I just figured it might give him a boost in strength, but Swordmasters have decent strength too. At least in Awakening-world."
Sorry, I'm just biased by too many games with uber!Mercenary characters. :D;; Gregor was more of an average unit (compared to Raven and Gerik - and I've heard Dieck and Oujay were also very good), but Donnel and Severa... @_@ Yep, definitely live up to the class's reputation.
So I just thought Uberwood might be a bit bizarre, given his more average distributions. :D;;
"Yep. Pent/Louise is a given but most people don't even KNOW about Karla unless they play Hector's route and fulfill the requirements. Guide Dang It!"
Really? o_o Ouch. (And yeah, my bad about Dorcas too. XD;;)
"Poor Canon-boy, lol. And Mila and Milos would be on fucking cloud nine. "YES! Finally, I can actually make my preferred fanon pairings!" "YES! Finally, everyone has the chance to be a badass!""
XD OH GAD. (Alas, everyone then has to tie Patrick up and throw him in a closet when he turns into a massive sore winner over Raven/Lucius S. On the bright side, Essie is completely inconsolable over her precious Twoo Wub pairings being broken up by additional options.
And then it's revealed that, for all her moping over the new pairings interfering with Eliwood and Ninian's ~TRUE LOVE~, she married her Avatar to Eliwood in one of her savefiles anyway.)"Aah. Yeah, didn't think of that...pegasus!Lilina would at least be excusable with "oh it's the child of her mom's pegasus"."
Or, given the Pegasus lifespans in Awakening, it could BE her mom's pegasus! :D (Pity there's no male Peg Knights. I'd go out of my way and marry Eliwood to Fiora in at least one of my games solely for the cracky sake of seeing Roy on a Pegasus.)
"It's getting there. Because I'd ship it.)"
SHEESH. First of all, I'd think that would only hold if you engineered the kids' stats well (such that the stat caps lined up correctly), and second, that's just annoying. :\
(Ship ALL the pairings! 8D One of the best things about Awakening, in my opinion. There are so many options, and they're all canon. :D)
"Rath/Rebecca! :D And Rath/Fiora or Farina, Rath/Priscilla..."
Rath/Hawkeye. Sue was carried by a surrogate. >_>In more seriousness, maybe Rath/Vaida? For variety, I mean.It would be kind of funny to have Priscilla/almost-every-man-in-the-army or Lyn/almost-every-man-and-half-the-ladies-in-the-army options, though. Just because of their high number of Paired Endings in the original....Bonus for Lyn/Priscilla!...Also, it'd be kind of interesting if characters turned out differently depending upon who their non-predesignated parent was. Like Priscilla's kid was an Eturian noble if she wed Erk or some other noble, but was otherwise a bastard hushed up and raised by servants. I mean, that example would be really harsh, but one can think of less-severe ones. Like Harken's kid/Isadora's kid turning out differently depending if he/she resulted from Harken/Isadora (raised 100% a Pherean knight) or Isadora/Legault / Harken/Vaida (raised a bit on the rougher side). :P It's so fun to contemplate!
no subject
Yeah. Awakening doesn't really do that since even Virion or Ricken can be broken with the right modifiers.
Yeah, mounted!Lyn is a good idea. <3 Especially if they bring back the Canto skill.
So I just thought Uberwood might be a bit bizarre, given his more average distributions. :D;;
Well, Eliwood deserves a chance to be uber! XD; But Hero might be too bulky for him, Swordmasters can have balanced growths but also specialize in speed. Plus Eliwood is capable of high luck growth half the time, least mine are.
Yeah, that's how I figure it anyway. I knew about her from the start thanks to GameFAQs guides and a friend of mine mentioning the need to train Bartre to get her.
Too bad Natalie's in bad health and can't be on the team, and Canas's wife is only mentioned and not seen.
XD OH GAD. (Alas, everyone then has to tie Patrick up and throw him in a closet when he turns into a massive sore winner over Raven/Lucius S. Molly kicks Patrick in the gut for it extra hard, she can't stand Raven/Lucius or Raven in general and will support him with Serra every time to spite the idiot. And LOL, Essie. She'd have a bitchfit a day about Eliwood/Ninian and then someone finds her copy of the game with Avatar/Eliwood. And she denies it like mad.
LOL! Lilina would get a kick out of seeing that! And true about lifespans-it actually goes back to Tellius, though, cause Elincia's mount is her GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S PEGASUS. @_@
SHEESH. First of all, I'd think that would only hold if you engineered the kids' stats well (such that the stat caps lined up correctly), and second, that's just annoying. :\
Exactly! I always have broken kids since I put in a ton of effort, but let's say you pair Lissa with, say, Libra and Owain is lacking in certain areas. Marrying him to Robin would produce a mediocre Morgan.
And yeah. I've told you about Airship Canon before, and he's...really fouling up the idea of Robin/Lucina and second-gen/Avatar marriages for a lot of people. Who might not have been so keen on them anyway.
For my next game I'm gonna use the oldest male Avatar, make him look sketchy and name him a Spotpass-friendly variation of Pedobear. And marry him to Lucina. XD; Mean, but I feel like being a troll at ASC's expense.RATH/VAIDA. They ought to make flying bow units so Sue can shoot people from atop a wyvern.
And then Patrick calls Priscilla a whore even more and Lyssie punches him across the block....Also, it'd be kind of interesting if characters turned out differently depending upon who their non-predesignated parent was. Like Priscilla's kid was an Eturian noble if she wed Erk or some other noble, but was otherwise a bastard hushed up and raised by servants. ...that could be interesting. Or Serra's kid turning out a serious knight if she married Oswin, or an affluent Etrurian if she married Erk, or a trolly thief if she married Matthew...or she could be Lilina's sibling if she married Hector!

Hoooooly... @_@
"Well, Eliwood deserves a chance to be uber! XD; But Hero might be too bulky for him, Swordmasters can have balanced growths but also specialize in speed. Plus Eliwood is capable of high luck growth half the time, least mine are."
I'm just so unused to the idea of Uberwood. o_o (I frankly think FE7 botched the Divine Weapons for Eliwood and Lyn. IIRC, both Sol Katti and Durandal had their weight too high to really be uber weapons, right? :\ I just remember that Knight Lord Eliwood was NOT very useful in Light.)
"Yeah, that's how I figure it anyway. I knew about her from the start thanks to GameFAQs guides and a friend of mine mentioning the need to train Bartre to get her."
*nod*
"Too bad Natalie's in bad health and can't be on the team, and Canas's wife is only mentioned and not seen."
Hey, the game could be ingenious if they wanted party!Natalie. Make her a mage with really low HP and really high MAG or something. Teh ultimate glass cannon. :P
(Having a side quest where you could recruit Canas's wife would really be nice. >_> 'Dear! What are you doing here?' 'I'm on a research mission of my own. Your mother is taking care of Hugh.' '...Really? If you think that's advisable...')
"Molly kicks Patrick in the gut for it extra hard, she can't stand Raven/Lucius or Raven in general and will support him with Serra every time to spite the idiot. And LOL, Essie. Mwahahaha. XD
'Then why is the Avatar named 'Esmeralda', Essie?'
'...WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ZACHARIAAAAAS! TUXEDO WANK MAAAAAAN! HEEEEELP!'
"LOL! Lilina would get a kick out of seeing that! And true about lifespans-it actually goes back to Tellius, though, cause Elincia's mount is her GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S PEGASUS. @_@"
O_______________________O
A-are we sure those things aren't sentient? M-maybe th-they're secretly Ilia's government... And the PEGASUS RIDERS are just their figureheads... D8
"Exactly! I always have broken kids since I put in a ton of effort, but let's say you pair Lissa with, say, Libra and Owain is lacking in certain areas. Marrying him to Robin would produce a mediocre Morgan."
*nod* Unless you really had a War Cleric fetish.
"And yeah. I've told you about Airship Canon before, and he's...really fouling up the idea of Robin/Lucina and second-gen/Avatar marriages for a lot of people. Who might not have been so keen on them anyway."
Oh, JOY. D|
(AC) "...I really hate MU's ending BTW. Really, really, really do. (The Stinger ruins any impact it has, but without said stinger, it's not a considerable option"
Wanker. Of COURSE it's a considerable option, you dumbass. Sacrifice is ALWAYS an option. Heaven forbid this guy watch Digimon, or he'd be bawling on the floor repeatedly. I mean, really? This is even something one has to think about?
"For my next game I'm gonna use the oldest male Avatar, make him look sketchy and name him a Spotpass-friendly variation of Pedobear. And marry him to Lucina. XD; Mean, but I feel like being a troll at ASC's expense."
*long face* Too late. I already made oldest-male-Avatar, called him Nergal, and ended up marrying him to NOWI. (Was too shortsighted to wait for Tiki.) You wanna talk about Pedobear...?
"RATH/VAIDA. They ought to make flying bow units so Sue can shoot people from atop a wyvern."
T_T THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME
"And then Patrick calls Priscilla a whore even more and Lyssie punches him across the block."
MWAHAHAHAH. XD And then Zach begins questioning unconventional-pairing!characters' paternity when they show up 'because clearly Ray doesn't resemble Erk at all' or something, and he gets flattened by Divine Weapons. :P
"...that could be interesting. Or Serra's kid turning out a serious knight if she married Oswin, or an affluent Etrurian if she married Erk, or a trolly thief if she married Matthew...or she could be Lilina's sibling if she married Hector!"
AND NOW I WANT THIS GAME D8
(Huh. For harder difficulties of the FE6 segment, that would actually make marriages really strategic. Sure, Eturian!Serraspawn comes much later in the game than the other options (who all start in Ostia), but she's an incredible magic unit regardless of the class you prefer for her. Hector!Serraspawn is also a strong unit Because Hector, but you might prefer to give Lilina's sibling a mother whose default class for the kid will take advantage of Hector's ludicrous physical stats rather than having her be a tank with average magic stacked on. Oswin!Serraspawn, a.k.a. Wendy, is a nice (if unconventional) choice, but other units are widely held to be better minmaxed Knight options. And Matthew!Serraspawn is a beast with a Runesword or as a Trickster... but it takes sooooo freeeeaking loooong to get Matthew/Serra S... but she does make a good mage-killer... but...
Nintendo, just make this game already! D: FE7/FE6 veterans want you to take their money, pleeeease!)

re Eliwood and Durudal: I just give him a body ring and that sorta fixes the con issue. Lyn's just makes her animation look weird. D:
Hey, the game could be ingenious if they wanted party!Natalie. Make her a mage with really low HP and really high MAG or something. Teh ultimate glass cannon. :P
...that could rock. "Natalie?! You never told me you were a mage!" "I never thought I'd need it, especially since my leg would've kept me out of the action anyway."
(Having a side quest where you could recruit Canas's wife would really be nice. >_> 'Dear! What are you doing here?' 'I'm on a research mission of my own. Your mother is taking care of Hugh.' '...Really? If you think that's advisable...')
That'd be awesome, too. :D
"See?! SEE?! SHE YELLED FOR ME TO SAVE HER! WE ARE CANON!"
"She also yelled for Tuxedo Wank Man."
"SHE YELLED FOR ME FIRST!"
"So?"
"...SHUT UP!"
...holy shit. Pegasi running a country would be kind of badass and hilarious. XD Mila, Milos, or Joe should write this one.
I actually do have a soft spot for War Clerics! Especially ones with high magic who can use the Bolt Axe.
Wanker. Of COURSE it's a considerable option, you dumbass. Sacrifice is ALWAYS an option. Heaven forbid this guy watch Digimon, or he'd be bawling on the floor repeatedly. I mean, really? This is even something one has to think about?
Yeah. It's not enough for him to dislike something, he has to call it STUPID or compare it to Twilight.
"For my next game I'm gonna use the oldest male Avatar, make him look sketchy and name him a Spotpass-friendly variation of Pedobear. And marry him to Lucina. XD; Mean, but I feel like being a troll at ASC's expense."

...Oh yeah. XD
Still gonna do it, though.
LOL! Sorry Zach, until you stop being stupid enough to piss off canon characters you're gonna get your ass kicked over and over!
[possibilities for Elibe marriage and kid choices and whatnot]
...wow. This could be one hell of a fun game with all these possible branches and twists and multiple paths! Talk about hella replay value!

Eh, I usually use a Body Ring on Athos instead so he can double with Luna. I don't get remarkable Eliwoods, alas. :|
"...that could rock. "Natalie?! You never told me you were a mage!" "I never thought I'd need it, especially since my leg would've kept me out of the action anyway.""
Or she could be an inexpertly-trained mage who turns out to really rock on the battlefield. Hey, Fire Emblem has a village kid with a pitchfork who turns out to have the most ridiculous growths ever. It's not without precedent. ;D
""See?! SEE?! SHE YELLED FOR ME TO SAVE HER! WE ARE CANON!"
"She also yelled for Tuxedo Wank Man."
"SHE YELLED FOR ME FIRST!"
"So?"
"...SHUT UP!""
"...And now she's swooning into his arms."
"IT DOESN'T COUUUNT *SOBSOBSOB*"
"...holy shit. Pegasi running a country would be kind of badass and hilarious. XD Mila, Milos, or Joe should write this one."
Agreed. @_@ Dear gad, the images...
"I actually do have a soft spot for War Clerics! Especially ones with high magic who can use the Bolt Axe."
I like 'em, but they've got the problem that too many other units can dish out more damage faster without any special weapons set-up. :D;; Good healers and all, but the really broken classes in Awakening make it hard for 'em to compete. :P
"Yeah. It's not enough for him to dislike something, he has to call it STUPID or compare it to Twilight."
DID HE READ HIS OWN FICS? His stuff makes Twilight look grimdark. D|
"Still gonna do it, though."
Good luck. :B (Seriously, the tough thing is making tall-male!Avatar NOT look sleazy. XD)
"LOL! Sorry Zach, until you stop being stupid enough to piss off canon characters you're gonna get your ass kicked over and over!"
Zach: But it's CANON! D:
"...wow. This could be one hell of a fun game with all these possible branches and twists and multiple paths! Talk about hella replay value!"
I knoooooow. @_@ It'd be so freaking nuts, and so freaking awesome in its own way. So much crazy potential with the entire two-generation system thing...
(Kind of inspired by Phantasy Star III, TBH. That game unfortunately had issues with boring gameplay and such, so it wasn't a classic, but it had a branching plot over three generations, with the player having to decide who to marry the main character to at the end of the first and second generations - four different endgames were possible depending on who you married for first gen and second gen. Take a look, if you like: http://ps3.huguesjohnson.com/walkthrough.html

force remarkable-ness onput a lot of effort into Eliwood to spite the bashers who pick on him for being OMG WEAK AND WORTHLESS.Good point! XD
Bet Hellfire Supremacy exploded in a ball of shitfits at Ricken and Donnel and Lissa in Awakening. One of his "how I would make FE better" rules was "no children picking up weapons and being good at it cause it's dumb""Awww it's okay Zachy-chan you still have me! ^_^"
"DO I NEED TO THROW YOU IN FRONT OF THE NEAREST UTILITY TRUCK?!"
Seriously. Oh, sure, he killed off Lana in one of his Seisen fics but it was mainly an excuse for Seliph and Julia to cuddle and weep together. (I may still enjoy his Seisen fics, but man is he heavy on the fluff. His stuff makes fluff look like the Sleepaway Camp movies!)
Alyssia: Zach, if that's your reason for everything and the only excuse you can think of, you're as pathetic as my brother.
Zach: DON'T COMPARE ME TO THAT LITTLE WRETCH!! JUST FOR THAT, I OUGHT TO SHIP YOU WITH CASSIE!
Alyssia: Been there. Done that. ...not literally, of course. I HAVE a girlfriend.
(Oooh, interesting...)

In all fairness, I admit that children picking up physical weapons without prior training and kicking ass with them is a bit implausible. (NON-PHYSICAL prodigies are an entirely different matter. >_> Hell, I'd actually buy that children would make slightly better Thieves than adults because smaller frame = more evasion. Um... tangent over, sorry. :D;;) But Donnel is obviously just a savant. :P

'Are there bishies in it? Ooh, can it turn into a gijinka bishie?'

xD And then he talks about how OTHER pairings are Twilightish. Uh... huh. If he did Eliwood/Ninian, it would probably look like a legit Essiefic. :P

Rod: that would be hawt id almost think u were okay if u werent a fag
Zach: ...Meanwhile, I ship YOU with Missy.
"(Oooh, interesting...)"
(Isn't it? Wish they used it in more games, but the amount of programming it takes makes it obvious why not. *sigh*)

I guess, but the thing is that 90% of the kids in the FE games always have had some sort of training. Rolf trained with Shinon, Mist had Rhys teach her how to use a staff, Amelia and Ross and Ewan were already learning their trades. Etc, etc. Prodigies and savants like Donnel and Nino are fairly rare. So it was never like "oh look a little kid picked up a weapon and instant expert". The little kids are always the ones it takes longest to train, so at least that's still sorta realistic.
'Are there bishies in it? Ooh, can it turn into a gijinka bishie?'
'...I WANT TO DIE...'
"Nooooo! Don't die, I'll be your- *gagged and shoved in a closet*"
"Hmph. Look what I'm reduced to, rescuing Canon-boy!"
"...shut up, Mila."
OH GOD. XD It totally would. I wonder if he ships it, but on the other hand I don't think I wanna know.
Rod: that would be hawt id almost think u were okay if u werent a fag

Rod: BUT HER VAG STINKS AND SHE'S ALREADY BANGING ESSIE AND TRISHA!!!
Molly: Eww...even Trisha doesn't deserve that. At least...yet.
Joe: If she ever tells someone to kill themselves or victim-blames them for their own rape, then she deserves it.

I didn't have the patience for RNG abuse even on HHM. After a few RNs, I just went '...You know, screw this - may lead to more chapter restarts, but at least playing it the regular way makes the game DO something'. :P (To be fair, I did try to RN-abuse for easier Arena fights. KIND of helped, but not really. :\ HHM's freakish 'Of COURSE this ORKO Mage who gets to double you and thus has a >49% chance of killing you BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN HIT B is a 690-gold fight! :D' Moon Logic just...
Let's just say that, if you see that your opponent will be a Mage in an HHM Arena, RESTART and refuse the bet. Shamans are safe so long as you're willing to press B THE MOMENT you get within death range, and I don't think Monks, if they appear, can ORKO without a crit. But MAGES... *shudder)

*nod* Fair enough. I just grind Amelia and Ross, so I'm used to thinking of Amelia as Uberknight and Ross as The Rosserker. :P

"Hmph. Look what I'm reduced to, rescuing Canon-boy!"
"...shut up, Mila."
"It's officially canon that you owe me. *smug*"
"****!"
OH GOD. XD It totally would. I wonder if he ships it, but on the other hand I don't think I wanna know.
It's a canon pairing with a knightly, noble guy comforting a persecuted woobie who bursts into tears in their A-support. D| If he doesn't ship it, that's probably an indicator that he hasn't played FE7.
And spray the game with Max Repel to make sure it stays that way.Rod: BUT HER VAG STINKS AND SHE'S ALREADY BANGING ESSIE AND TRISHA!!!
Molly: Eww...even Trisha doesn't deserve that. At least...yet.
Joe: If she ever tells someone to kill themselves or victim-blames them for their own rape, then she deserves it.
Milos: So Missy is th' walkin' incarnation'a th' Special Hell? Suddenly, I don't want t' go t' it any more. D:
no subject
Yeah, RNG abuse doesn't always work either. The arena likes to be a douche to you. D:
LOL, same here. Though occasionally it's Amelia the Paladin or Ross the Warrior. And Ewan's either a Druid or a Mage Knight.
Lord, I hope that's the case.
Joe: I think there's two Special Hells. Missy, and the one you actually want to go to.

(Would spice up Renault's backstory a bit. Subieko@LJ suggested giving branching options to determine your backstory, and THAT would really add some replay value. *nodnod* wonder if you could have an Evil Path...)
Arenas: the bane of FE players. D;
/fuckyesdruidewan
Thank heavens for small mercies.
Milos: But how do I know which one I'm gonna get sent t'?! D8
no subject
FE9/10 have no arenas, which I was suprisingly happy about. Instead you get bonus EXP you can distribute to characters who need catching up. :D And Awakening just lets you grind like crazy.
Alyssia: If you write Rule 34 and other porn or talk in the theater you go to the good one. If you touch Essie's boobs you go to the bad one.
Sue: BURN! XD
no subject
Dump all BEXP on the Est , and voila. ;D
Milos: *whew!*
...An' outta curiosity, what happens t' th ' guy who does both ? *eyes Zach*
no subject
Julia: Zach wrote porn? XD
Molly: Actually, I'll bet he talks in the theater.
Essie: ZACHARIAS DID NOT TOUCH MY BOSOM!
no subject
Milos: (Zach) THAT EXPLOSION IS NOT CANON TO THE BOOK
Mila: (Zach) YOU ARE MAKING THIS VILLAIN SYMPATHETIC YOU MULTIMILLION DOLLAR FANBRAT
Milos: (Zach) WHY DID YOU NOT PRESERVE THE HOUR-LONG SPEECH EXACTLY AS IT WAS IN THE BOOK
Mila: (Zach) I'M NEVER WATCHING AN ADAPTATION OF A BOOK AGAIN
Milos: (Other Theater Patrons) GOOD WE WERE PLANNING TO KILL YOU IF YOU DID ANYWAY
Zach: *seethes*
no subject
Cassie: *smirk* Spot-on impressions, both of you.
Zach: SHUT UP!!
Julia: (Zach) THIS ADAPTATION OF THE NEXT INSTALLMENT IS JUST AS NON-CANON. I'LL NEVER WATCH AGAIN!
Alyssia: One year later... (Zach) THIS ADAPTATION IS EVEN WORSE! STOP BEING FANBRATS, HOLLYWOOD!
no subject
THIS NEW ONE TWO MONTHS LATER IS EVEN MORE WRONG!
I HAVE PURCHASED THE LIMITED EDITION WITH BONUS CONTENT JUST SO I KNOW HOW WRONG IT CAN BECOME! DID I MENTION THE PRICE TAG IS FAR TOO EXPENSIVE?!
AND NOW I AM PURCHASING THE ULTRA-LIMITED PERFECT EDITION BECAUSE IT'S SO WRONG! SHAME ON YOU, CREATORS! D:<
Cassie: ...Lies and slander!
Milos: Y' still didn't answer anyone, smartass!
Zach: *sniff* But the LOTR movies WERE horribly inaccurate! And the Hobbit is even worse!
Mila: Yes, we all wanted to watch a bunch of hairy short people trek through locations we already knew about to little fanfare. Because that would sure bring in the cash.
Zach: HERESY! CANON IS FLAWLESS!
Cassie: ...You're just proving everyone's point, you imbecile...
no subject
Cassie: At least I stand for something that matters, as opposed to having childish tantrums anytime someone writes an Astrid/Gatrie or Ash/Gary fic.
Zach: Like YOU'RE so much better with your Aang-demonizing Katara/Haru fanfics!
Cassie: At least I dare to be creative. You, on the other hand, might as well leave fandom and just read the source material over and over again if you love ~canon~ so much.
Mittens: THAT'S IT. *pisses on both of their shoes* YOU INTERRUPT FANDOM CAT'S SLEEPY TIEM. YOU ARE BAD HUMANS. *sheds on their beds*
Zach: ...that's it. MISSY, GET OVER HERE! IT'S TIME FOR A BATH!
Cassie: No, you will NOT be using him to scrub Missy, because I'm taking him to the vet to have him castrated!
no subject
Cassie: Oh, shut up. MITTENS! VET TIME!
Zach: *grabs the cat* Your behavior might be appropriate to a nonsentient animal, but Mittens is very clearly sentient.
Mittens: Mrrow! Never thought I'd say this, but maybe there's some good in you after all, Canon-Hu-
Zach: And, as such, the trauma of being rubbed against every inch of Missy's rancid body will be a far worse punishment than any mere physical mutilation.
Mittens: MRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWR!
no subject
Zach: Don't tell me you're willing to give this animal a free pass for-
Julia: No cat deserves to have to touch Missy. *picks up Mittens and cuddles him*
Mittens: *raspberry* Nyaaaaaaaaaah!
no subject
Julia: Oh, enough. You and Cassie BOTH need therapy.
Cassie: I do have therapy! I'm practically a therapist in my free time!
Julia: ...your poor friends...
no subject
Zach: ...I really should get that dog, shouldn't I?
no subject
Zach: SHUT UP!
no subject
Zach: ...wait. What are YOU doing out of the Starbucks? Isn't your evening shift right about now? Get me a grande Frappucino, stat.
Molly: ...are you sure you want Missy serving you anything? She'd probably spit in it.
no subject
Molly: ...You DO plan to pour that into a different cup and observe carefully to make sure nothing's in there that shouldn't be, right? Like an earthworm or three?
Missy: Pfft, what wussies. I would put entire scorpions in there.
no subject
Sue: um DUH?!?!!?
Cassie: ...I thought it was a warning that bore repeating.
no subject
Milos: D:< Franchise-lovin' scum! Brew yer own coffee!
no subject
Rod: HI TRISHA *smacks her on the butt* i liek how it jiggles
Trisha: *brb chasing Rod around with a hair dryer*
Molly: I think that's why we keep him around. Because he pisses off Trisha.
Cassie: Are you really so threatened by her, still? Ralph loathes her, and she's afraid to even touch you now that you and him are romantically involved. Then again, she did leave some scars on you...
Molly: Exactly.
no subject
Zach: Hmph, see? Immature brats! The lot of you!
Alyssia: Yes, TELL ME about immaturity, Mr. ESSIE WILL LOVE ME SOMEDAY I SWEAR?
Zach: *whines and buries his face in the Dune Encyclopedia or something*
no subject
Maxie: Oh, c'mon, Zachy-chan, you and Essie and TWM can just have a threesome! <3
Joe: And invite Sailor Bimbo for a foursome!
Sailor Bimbo: FUCK YOU. *throws a sock at Joe's head*
Rod: OMG SAILOR BIMBO
Milos: Uh, dude, she'll castrate ya b'fore she touches ya, remember?
Rod: D: oh rite
no subject
Mila: That's cruel and - Wait, Patrick. Forget I said anything. Hate to say this, but I'll second Canon-Boy.
Joe: Man, that's just cruel to Sailor Bimbo.
Zach: Fine, to accommodate your perversions - Patrick, Sailor Bimbo, AND Missy in the same room?
Joe: Uh. Canon-Boy? You do know I have STANDARDS, right? D:
no subject
Joe: There's a difference between three cool characters getting it on with each other and imagining sex involving MISSY AND PATRICK. Sailor Bimbo's a jerk, but she deserves better.
Sailor Bimbo: Thanks, no go have sex with a man.
Joe: Does Maxie with a strap-on count?
Cassie: I'm surprised no one's written Joe/Stuart hatesex yet.
Stuart: WHAT?! Way to phail, lady!
Joe: Yeah, no. I've got some kinky tastes but playing Pokemon during sex isn't one of them...unless it's a porn hack.
Maxie: Pokemon Sultry Red, anyone~?
no subject
Cassie: If I heard that correctly, you are possibly the most pathetic human being on the planet. Not counting Missy and Patrick as human.
Milos: *oblivious* ROMHACKS FTW! AN' NUZLOCKE CHALLENGE ALL TH' WAY! :D
Mila: Hmph. Maybe if you put some thought into your Pokemon's motivations -
Milos: Motivations shmotivations! I've got Gym Leaders to solo with a Magikarp! >:D
Mila: *facepalm*
no subject
Milos: Romhacks are a beautiful thing!
Cassie: But I agree about Pokemon motivations. Is the protagonist really worthy of such loyalty? Are they furthering their own agenda?
Mark: But...the power of friendship drives the story! That's why some Pokemon evolve through friendship!
Alyssia: And Return can potentially be the most powerful move! ...then again, so can Frustration. And those awful herb medicines are cheap.
no subject
Cassie: Really, how are you NOT exactly proving N's point? Shoehorned nonsense about your Pokemon's Stockholm Syndrome for you notwithstanding.
Zach: So you dismiss all canon evidence as Stockholm Syndrome?
Cassie: Precisely.
Mila: As it should be!
Milos: Uh, sis, dunno about anyone else, but I'm not participatin' in yer Pokemonunist Revolution...
Mila: Then it's not MY fault you're being a willful dissident.
Milos: -_- Don't mind her, folks, she sometimes gets this way...
no subject
Molly: The things he must have done to make the attack more powerful...I don't want to think about it. *shudder*
Joe: Why do I have the image of Ghetsis making his Pokemon watch the Sleepaway Camp sequels?
(and holy shit the guy who beat Drake with a Magikarp...that was impressive @_@)
