((You will notice that I used Ambassador rather than Yulong for the Ghost battles. This was a stupid mistake, as I forgot that Dragon Rage is NOT Normal-type and thus CAN hit Ghosts. Cost Yulong valuable experience that he SHOULD have had. *facepalm*
I literally thought I had no choice with Yulong's current moveset. If I'd had the brains, I would have tried to run the Gym straight with Yulong, but... :\ *shrug*))


Syaoran: (I left to refresh my friends. At the Pokecenter, I spoke to a man I had met previously...)


Syaoran: (It warmed my heart to see his happiness.)

Psychic: ...Whoops. I mean, we ESPECIALLY don't fear ghosts!


Syaoran: No, I'm in the Gym because I'm trying out for the janitor position - Come off it! Why ELSE would I be in the Gym?!


Syaoran: Then why didn't you read my mind and know you were going to lose?
Psychic: ...I'm a perennial optimist. D:



((This would be the fight where I realized Dragon Rage WASN'T Normal-type.))

Channeler: Doesn't it?!

((Incidentally, it's potentially amusing to name your character after one of the Gym Leaders. I've never tried it, but it would result in a variety of silly references, a la naming your Tactician "Nergal" or your Avatar "Chrom".))



((Couldn't figure out any others to fight...))

((...So I healed up fully and went for Sabrina.))

Syaoran: All right, everyone. Are you ready?


Pokemon: As ready as we'll ever be.
Syaoran: Then let's go.


Sabrina: Then I ran out of spoons, so I just got a Gym. :\


Syaoran: *braces self*


Syaoran: Ack! Yulong!
Yulong: Its powers are... considerable!

((It dropped my Special, so, in my panic, I thought I was forced to switch out. In retrospect, if I just used a Hyper Potion straight off, that wasn't the case, but... YOU try thinking rationally when you've just seen a Kadabra carve off 82/133 HP in a single blow.))


((This was very bad. As you can see, the Kadabra would almost score a OHKO if striking from a position of perfect health.
As such, I gambled on it NOT getting a OHKO next turn while I killed with Bite. If I'd actually looked up Kadabra's crit chance, I would have made a RADICALLY different decision [that is, stalling it out with Hyper Potions until its random WTFery used something other than Psychic], but instead...))

((...It worked. BARELY.))

Syaoran: Reservoir, return! Yulong, take the field again!


LEERSPEAR: Let the record show that these screenshots were consecutive.
Monarch: *whimper* I am sorry, fellow Bug-type...


((Reservoir was healed during the Mr. Mime segment. Yulong, meanwhile, apparently had 44 points of his HP carved off by a NON-critical Psybeam. Ow...))

((As it turns out, Reflect did not sufficiently reflect Bite...))


((*all but sobbing with relief* I'm ALIVE! I'M ALIIIIIIIIVE!!!
Sweet gad, that HURT!))

((WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! IF I HADN'T BOUGHT UP HYPER POTIONS BEFOREHAND, YOU WOULD HAVE WIPED THE FLOOR WITH ME!))


Sabrina: Grinding takes all the fun out of a Nuzlocke! (:V)
Syaoran: I-if by f-fun, you mean "sheer heart-pounding terror"...


((...psychic waves, blah blah blah...
Seriously, why wasn't THIS the Mr. Psychic TM and the Psychic TM the Gym TM? Sure, I know some Pokemon learn it naturally, but that could have been modified out of the movesets. Psychic is the move that will set your heart racing in this battle. Not PSYWAVE.))


Syaoran: ...*nods* I'll keep that in mind!


Syaoran: ...There's no bundle-of-cash prize for missing the point...
Aide: Eh?

((Running back to the Pokecenter...))

((I think I had x10 Hyper Potion beforehand. D:))

You are so good at keeping Pokemon I swear. XD YOU ROCK THE TACTICAL DECISIONS AND SENSE MAKING ACTIONS BETTER THAN ME, sometimes I'm stubborn and try to level weaker ones and it turns out they're slow, too, and it's like fuuuuck I gotta baby them with the EXP share. D:
