Forgot Fuchsia-area could be so fun.
It's so PRETTY! :D
(Also, this is painful evidence that Silph Co. and Cycling Road are interchangable, level-wise. I'm massively overleveled for this area, though Monarch, Yulong, and Wormtail don't mind the experience one bit.
...I EARNED a moment of sheer WHAT HAVE I DONE terror by forgetting that Bug types are weak to Poison. D: Monarch, I am SO sorry - but 1 HP and Poisoned is still alive! :D
...This is really the area of STOP PLAYING AROUND AND PAY ATTENTION. *winces* Why, Ambassador! My apologies for letting that Sandslash take you down to half HP with a single Slash... though, given your defenses, I'm amazed it was ONLY around half HP that you lost...)
*CRYING WITH LAUGHTER*
So, Koga's Pokemon have essentially interchangeable levels with Sabrina, yes? L43 final Pokemon and all.
I briefly panicked when he sent out L43 Weezing, as I didn't know if L40 Ambassador could OHKO it with STAB Dig, but I gambled on it anyway.
THE IDIOT USED SELFDESTRUCT WHILE AMBASSADOR WAS UNDERGROUND!
*laughing self silly* Oh, gad! Oh, gad, if only ALAKAZAM had done something similar!
What a wonderful, glorious moment! Thank you, game!
O-onto - hee hee - th-the - heh heh - S-Safari Z-Zone! *cracks up totally* BEST GYM BATTLE EVER!
(I both saved afterwards AND savestated, just in case one of those legendary 'file corruption' issues that I keep reading about on the Nuzlocke forums occurs. I am not risking anything going wrong after something so hilarious happens.
Say what you will, but I don't think that all Red/Blue learn-by-level-up Selfdestructers/Exploders [that is to say, the only Pokemon on which the computer will use Selfdestruct/Exploders, unless I'm misjudging the Red/Blue AI] are weak to the Ground-type, and that a high-powered Ground-type move specifically gives the ability of dodging the enemy's next attack.
...:)
Six Leaders down, two to go - and both of them weak to the Water-type, not-so-coincidentally Syaoran's starter. [Yes, I did factor in that Syaoran would have to face later Gyms as well as the earlier ones. That's part of why I chose Squirtle over Bulbasaur, as I recall personally.] In the event that nothing happens to seriously derail my plan within the next two cities, Syaoran's heading for the big League... :) )
