MVPs during the run:

Reservoir (Squirtle -> Wartortle -> Blastoise) - The first Pokemon, and one of the best. His durability and perseverance served me well, and his eventual wide movepool was essential for surviving Lance. Couldn't have done it without you, buddy.
Raised from L5 to L57.

Yulong (Magikarp -> Gyarados) - I knew he would be good, but not how good. After he made short work of Misty, I knew he was a keeper - though I wasn't sure, once I had the Electric-weakness-loaded-party. He proved me incredibly wrong later on, however. I've never used a Gyarados seriously before (with the exception of an early-on one in Platinum whom I probably badly underestimated, in retrospect, due to Platinum's overall difficulty), but I've now learned what a mistake that was. Selling me on an entire species - that's not an easy feat, but you managed it, you Psychic-slaying, bad-hit-walling, moveset-ruling wonderful creature! Bless your entire species, you lovely dragon-carp!
We'll ignore anything awkward that happened after the run ended, mm'kay, my heart-warming, blissful, wondrous friend?
Raised from L5 to L56.

Monarch (Caterpie -> Metapod -> Butterfree) - I must admit, I severely doubted you when you failed to learn Confusion at level 10, Milord Slowest-In-The-Class. It honestly made me consider abandoning you in a box... until you did learn Confusion (at level 12) and reminded me why Butterfrees are so dang valuable in the first place. You made Mt. Moon so much easier, and made my life so much more pleasant in general regarding capturing even after your overall battling ability petered out. You may not have entered the fight against Bruno, but knowing you were there was a relief. And with my heart hammering like it was during the Elite Four, any relief was more than welcome. I could thank you profusely, but only someone actually taking note of all the captures could really grasp how much handier you made my life. I had a 100% [non-Dupes-Clause-disqualified] catch record on the routes I visited! That ought to tell any observer of Nuzlocke runs something.
And, without mentioning too much, you made a certain unpleasant non-canon incident 'winnable' when I'd botched absolutely everything about that segment and was headed for an embarrassing inability to capture a certain something. I owe you for that, pal. Just don't call in the favor unless I'm prepared for it, all right? Give me a bit of warning...
Raised from L4 to L55.

And now we enter a fuzzy patch, because those three were THE essential players in the run. However, two more made very important contributions, and then a few more were good friends...

Ambassador (Diglett -> Dugtrio) - You, I expected to die a noble death in battle - with your glass-canon statistics, I didn't think you'd live long past Lt. Surge. Instead, you stayed to the end of the run and played an important part in taking out Agatha. I'm impressed, O noble emissary. You took out two Gym Leaders essentially on your own (a feat surpassed only by Reservoir) and survived despite all odds. Congratulations.
Raised from L16 to L55.

LEERSPEAR (Spearow -> Fearow) - Perhaps I should have caught you on a later route, since I purchased Yulong from the Mt. Moon Pokecenter, but I think it worked out nonetheless. You provided stellar coverage against all Grass-types and fought your way to victory against any Fighting-type you faced, not even fearing the potential Thunderpunch on Bruno's Hitmonchan. For a Pokemon I expected to be a glass cannon, you did incredibly well at keeping your head above water - but then, it helps if you never get hit, eh?
Raised from L6 to L55.

Our good friends, who did not feature in the final team as prominent players:

Wormtail (Rattata -> Raticate) - Through sheer stubbornness, I kept you on the team until the end of the run, even though you didn't actually participate in any major battles past the Route 22 encounter with my rival's Pidgeot. Still, you more than earned your keep early on and held your own in battles up to that point, and I have faith that you could have managed more if I'd found myself needing to bring you out. You were the first Pokemon I caught in this run, and I was proud to have you all the way through, my friend. Know that if you ever went out of my team at any point during the run, it was due to the dreaded six-party-slot syndrome, and not because I didn't want you there.
Raised from L4 to L55.

Queen Aria (Nidoran Female -> Nidorina -> Nidoqueen) - Ah... I had much more planned for you, as evinced by my early development of you, but you were a victim of six-party-slot syndrome. I never expected Ambassador to do so well (sorry, Ambassador), and planned to put you back on whenever he fell behind or fell in battle. However, he surpassed all my expectations, and so you were left in a perpetual sabbatical due to your redundant Ground typing and lack of psuedolegendary statistics (as with Yulong) to justify it.
You are and were an excellent Pokemon. Never forget that.
Raised from L2 to... L25, most likely. I'll be checking whenever I get around to doing the "Where Are They Now" post for the wrap-up after the game.

Petra (Geodude) - Gah, I'm sorry, you were another causality of Ambassador's unexpected excellence. I really did mean to use you more, as the early development probably shows. Girl, I'm sure you would have been great if you had the chance. I hear your people are quite useful in Gold and Silver, so... maybe your legacy will be carried on whenever I get around to doing a run of one of those games?
Raised from L10 to L21.

Sky Terror (Pidgey) - I did mean to raise you up and compare you to LEERSPEAR, but I forgot in my haste through the game. My apologies, my bombastic friend. Maybe I'll have more cause to use a Pidgey some other time. You honestly did help me in the early game.
Raised from L3 to L14.

Honorable mention:
Klakarton (Drowsee -> Hypno) - ...I can't honestly say I liked you, and Syaoran didn't in-story either, but you did provide a valuable service. I have to thank you for that, if nothing else. I'm not converted to liking your species, but I'll at least admit you have merit now. In relative terms, that is pretty close to what Yulong did for his (since I already liked Gyarados from reputation, but had never really put in the time to raising one and wielding its powers in battles) - so thank you. You've broadened my horizons.
Raised from L11 to L40.

And that's about all! There was also Bell Tolls the Bellsprout/Weepinbel, but that one turned out to be a Cut wielder more than an actual team member. Alas, I already had my Powder-user in Monarch and my Rock/Ground-annihilator in Reservoir, so I didn't have much of a reason to use the 'Bel. Sorry. :(

Those were the Pokemon who were at the head of my run! :D And boy was I glad to have them!

Congratulations on your successful non-casualty Nuzlocke run! :3 (Yep, that Mewtwo event didn't happen. It was just an awful premonition) You did much better than I ever would, since the furthest I got was before Flannery's gym in Pokemon Emerald before I ragequitted. XD
