It's unpleasant of me, I know, but I'm reading the March 14 LJ Releases post - and by gad am I glad that I post from Dreamwidth alone these days.
This. This is just a glorious trainwreck of user discontent, buggy interfaces, and insanity. It's like Fandom Wank at its finest...
(And yes, I shouldn't find it entertaining, but - damn, did I switch to crossposting while the getting was good!)
Now, an additional problem - when I try to 'select' a line or word to put it in bold, the cursor goes immediately to the bottom of the page. WHY???
This has happened repeatedly.
Sometimes, starting from the end of the word or sentence and 'selecting' works but why should it be necessary to find ways around wonky LJ posting peculiarities?
Just. FIX. them please. And, leave other things alone.

And why have you changed the handy feature that enabled us to put links in as highlighted text without the URL showing? It's gone back to inserting the URL by default, I now have to edit the HTML to get the text that I want to show instead of the URL.

I have never been able to figure out exactly what triggers a message telling me that there's an element that LJ doesn't like and won't let me post. I don't understand why you would permanently check the "open in a new window" box in the visual editor and leave it unchangeable. I don't want things to open in a new window. I never heard either way from readers, but if I want to keep something like that, I should not have to flip between the Visual Editor and HTML tabs to get rid of it.

1st time i refresh my f-list, none of those entries come up.
2nd time i refresh my f-list, only mary's new entry comes up
3rd time i refresh my f-list, only john's and peter's entries come up. mary's has disappeared
4th time i refresh my f-list, only peter's entry comes up. mary's and john's have disappeared.

I think the fact that I can see that there are 281 comments posted here in 6 pages, but I can't see ANY of the comments is a pretty big glitch. I'd say this is something that needs to be fixed ASAP.
(IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM: Use NoScript to forbid everything but Google.com and LiveJournal.com on LJ pages. As you might remember, that actually was part of what caused me to bail to Dreamwidth before I used that fix.)

How difficult is it to put in some simple editing and ordering tools for the photo albums, so that I can re-arrange the photos or organize the albums by date, and fix the nearly unusable mess you have left my journal in???

I so admire the so '90s gradients and the too-large font that makes the profile 1. ugly and 2. difficult to read. Your use of whitespace and buttons is to say it mild, astonishingly old school. Fine if you are going for an amateurish and bland look that anyone with a HTML for Dummies could produce in half an hour.

A minute ago I had 50 mutual friends, then 87, then up to 88 (the correct number), now back down to 50. It's telling me I'm a member of 32 communities, but have posting access in 111.

Just so you know, I had an unsettling experience earlier this morning.
I replied to a comment in a friend's public entry on my phone.
I got a confirmation page saying that my comment had been posted anonymously (apparently I was logged out while I wasn't looking).
The page changed to some blank page that I assume was an ad thing because the domain looked really dubious basically immediately.
The ad page then tried to open Google Play (which didn't work because my phone was roaming, and background data is required for Play, and disabled while I'm roaming).
I chose to quit. This landed me back on the ad page, which obligingly tried to open Google Play again (same results).
Half-asleep flailing ensued where I closed the browser and then tried to open it again; at that moment my phone chose to pop back out of roaming, and it was then that I learned that one of LJ's ad providers would like me to download Candy Crush Saga. I did not want. More flailing, and my phone's antivirus told me that it was checking some new program, but I got no notification that a program had been installed.
In case this was not behavior that LJ appreciates from their advertisers, I thought you should know.
[Holy shit. I got that bizarre posted-as-anonymous behavior several times a few weeks ago (around the time after the update) - is THAT what would have been awaiting me if I hadn't had NoScript blocking literally everything but the bare minimum to use the site? I - damn. I knew LJ was incredibly annoying even three years ago (back when I hadn't discovered AdBlockPlus or NoScript) - but now it's become a malware site? D:]

After you introduced the new updates page I told myself I would test it for a period of time before commenting. Now that I have used it for some time I find it slow (to load and use and update), awkward to use, and cumbersome.

And why the hell aren't these releases adequately tested before they go live? The number of bug fixes you have to do every time is beyond belief.

I've noticed this too on most people's profiles :/ It seems to have automatically and irreversibly inserted double spacing in a lot of coding for one thing. I had to delete a few lines from the code in my profile since there was no longer "room" for them in the text box I'm using, when there was never an issue before.

Really, the only reason I haven't archived already is that I have a lot of custom f-locked posts, and I don't have any translation of that to Dreamwidth. But I can survive that, if need be. *sigh* I'll just have to tell people not to look while I'm still updating...
