Currently sporking 'How James Got His Mojo Back'.

Tell me about it. It's like in every story she's desperate to give the Terrible Trio something to angst about because otherwise how in the hell would the audience ever remember they were supposed to be sympathetic?!

This is something I've hinted at previously, but I'm beginning to think that Cori believes that characters can only become sympathetic if they suffer hard and often, no matter the context. Which is totally ridiculous--even anime as depressing as "Madoka Magica" or "Code Geass" don't have their characters get tortured and tear up over literally everything! Hell, even "Texhnolyze" was more subtle than Cori about hammering in how much Ichise's life sucked! At least Ichise didn't go on every episode about how his parents were dead and how poor he was!

Reading her fanfics is a little like listening to Bruno Mars's "Grenade," actually--they are that pathetic.
