Next Nuzlocke post will be a two-parter, a la the Misty segment.
Turns out I took a LOOOOT of screenshots during the Lavender Town-and-Silph Co. segment. So Pokemon Tower will take place in one update, and Silph Co. in the next.
I just need to get these out before I can continue in-game, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm just really backlogged due to PMS + a developing cold. On the bright side, I think I'll really make progress soon.
See you then!
EDIT: Lavender Town segment is unexpectedly long, due to a lot of narration. Expect it sometime tomorrow. The narrator is a wordy little Trainer, and Lavender Town/Silph Co. are fairly Rocket-centric - which leads to a lot of blather from Mr. Anti-Rocket.

*pale* H-holy ****, the Psychic-type Gym....
...I'm not going to screw around with not grinding in the future. I went 'WHEE, I'm a big macho Trainer who doesn't need any of that petty grinding any more', and it nearly cost me the match. Mainly because I ran in blind and so didn't realize she had a level FORTY-THREE Alakazam waiting in the wings. Highest Pokemon on my team? L38.
And when you're L38, a L38 Kadabra hits like a *****. Particularly on CRITICALS. And remember, this is Gen 1, so it critical-hits 20% of the time courtesy of its obscene base speed. D:
...Y-yeah, how about I grind a little for Koga, eh? D:
(In all fairness, my team was majorly slowed down by the lack of supereffective hits. This isn't a problem for Koga, who will have Monarch, Ambassador, Reservoir, and LEERSPEAR all hammering on him at once. But holy sheeeeesh, Sabrina...)

Took break from Nuzlocke to dash through a good portion of Dragon Warrior Monsters.
Grizzly is OP, provided that you have a healer constantly making up for its mediocre defenses.
So is Unicorn, being a healer and all.
Alas, the game's more transparent to me now than it used to be. Just keep climbing up the breeding-ranks...
That's the problem with being an adult and playing your favorite childhood games, I guess: you understand actual strategy, and what used to be heart-pounding battles when you were younger... can be beaten by holding down the Turbo Button when you're older. >_>
Played for about two hours, I'm guessing, since the in-game clock showed twenty hours and I barely ever took my finger off the Turbo Button.
(I remember a kid at my afterschool who had a team of three Grizzlies... Not sure how that worked when he needed healing, but now I'm certain it was efficient. Attack-Attack-Attack, Win.)
Anyway, probably won't Nuzlocke that game. (Thank heavens - the breeding mechanics alone would make it awkward.) Let's stick to Pokemon for any crazy challenges! :D
Will do Koga-section soon. Bit under the weather, still, but I'll manage it eventually. And after that's Blaine(Fly to Pallet and Surf from there), and then Giovanni, and then the Elite Four! :D ...Definitely going to grind a bit before E4, though...
(L55 Clefable with 5 X Specials can sweep the League. That was one terrifying sight in that one fellow's Monotype Normal run.)
See you then!
