Yes, I did succeed in making it, and I'm currently having Hector stonewall Darin for 15 rounds so that I can boss-grind on weaponless Darin. Let's just say that I'm Eliwood's EXP-stamp monkey and leave it at that. I think he qualifies under the Elibeans With Disability Act... (He has 8 STR. He's level 14. That's the same as Serra's MAG at level 15. And Serra is a CLERIC! She's not SUPPOSED to be attacking yet! )

By the way, those stat-up items I blew on Hector a while back did have one truly hilarious effect. Hector's level 20 unpromoted and Darin is a level 5 General. ...I think Hector is higher in every single stat save RES, and has only one less HP than Darin. And this is HHM Darin. He has stat bonuses.

Eliwood had better be shaping up soon. :P Too bad FE7 doesn't have an Elite Ring, or you don't get an Energy Ring in Hector mode.

Augh, it's just ridiculous. D| Lyn has 8 STR at level 12 or so, but it's saner because she's notoriously the Myrmidon Lord. ELIWOOD, though? I think the only stat in which he's above-average is Luck!

Say, do you know - does Lucius or Canas get more use over the next several chapters? I have the Dragon's Gate Guiding Ring, so I'll probably grind one for a bit on Darin and leave the other one to naturally get EXP and promote. I'm torn, since Canas is doing very well (and now has LUNA), but Lucius is also doing decently... and his boyfriend will promote with the Hero Crest snagged off of Oleg. So which one would you recommend?

Yeah, you expect that sort of thing from Lyn. The only time it seriously freaked me out was when her STR failed to hit double digits before she hit level 18 or so. But Eliwood it supposed to be balanced!

Canas won't be that useful in "New Resolve" because of all the monks...then again, there's a lot of wyvern riders, which are weak to all magic. Still, Lucius might be a better choice for "New Resolve" and Canas for "Kinship's Bond". And then of course, the desert chapter pretty much demands you bring out all mages. XD

...To be honest, my magic-users might be able to beat the Triangle. This go-round, what saved me was that I let Canas rush on ahead to provide distance-attack backup in the side passage - while LUCIUS defeated all the mage reinforcements. Yes, I did have to have him guzzle a Vulnerary usage, but he fought off something like FIVE mages! On his own! Without supports!

I wouldn't be surprised if Canas could wallop Monks, that's all I'm saying. He's something like level 15 right now, so he ought to have a level advantage to counteract 'em, even with HHM bonuses.

Aaaargh, I think I'll bring out Rebecca and Dart for the Wyvern Riders. D| Might as well start ratcheting Rebecca/Sain upwards. Guy/Priscilla is at A, but they're the only ones. Even Hector and Lyn are still at B ~~because I kept forgetting to Support them, but still~~.

Ahahaha NICE. XD Lucius has the best resistance ever, though, so I'm not surprised.

Also a good idea. I always bring Rebecca out for that chapter...if I only use one archer it's always her. :D

He also had disproportionately high MAG for a while. Sadly, his stat gains have made him more well-balanced now, but he was a terrifying powerhouse for a while. His boyfriend also had one of those class-confused stages where his stat gains made him wonder if he was a transmyrmidon for his later levels, so Raven'll make one heck of a Hero. Hooray. :D

(And thaaat is why they have the option to buy more icons. XD I'm a freeloader, so I always stick with 15 or so max. Hence why I'm being mildly conservative with my icons on here)

I've had Hectors with super high STR and low everything else, or Sains with that issue. I like my units somewhat balanced. (LOL, Raven does grow like a myrmidon at times.)

I remember my first few games I failed to use her and then suddenly I was like I CANNOT GO A GAME WITHOUT THIS CHICK. She, Lucius, Serra, Priscilla, Florina, Nino and Oswin are my "cannot go a game without" people. Canas might make that list, too, he's being a total badass.

Eliwood has high luck and mediocre everything else, if I recall correctly. D| I may note down all their stats later.

Here? Raven, Lucius, Priscilla/Serra (one healer), Oswin, Guy, USUALLY Dart (if I can level him enough in this run :| ), Nino, and... I may be forgetting some people. I'm pretty random as to which Cavalier I use, and Rath can replace Rebecca in a pinch. (Ninian is mandatory for obvious reasons. :P)

I think I'll go with Canas for Luna-bustin' any nasty bosses. I can promote Lucius after Living Legend, so it's no big deal. :P

Eliwood's luck is definitely an asset. XD He becomes a dodging machine later on, almost on par with Lyn.

I always use two healers, partially because they're invaluable when my army keeps getting hurt, partially because I love using female units and also to spite the Serra vs Priscilla fandom crap from way back when. And bashers of both. :P

I tend to use Raven over Guy most of the time, mainly because of Lucius. Sometimes I end up benching all my cavaliers, but other times I end up using 'em all. Or two. ...I've been benching Lowen a lot lately, but someday he will be awesome for me again.

...Yeah. His stats may average out, but the problem is that he's not SUPPOSED to be low-STR, high-LUCK+SPD.

I benched Lowen everywhere but EHM, where he actually did pretty well.

Eliwood seems to suffer Myrmidon envy. XD Those stats make me think of my current Guy at around those levels.

That's the same reason I tend to only use 1 or 2 archers or cavaliers or fighters myself. And the reason I benched Fiora in favor of Heath twice. D: Damn promotion item shortages.

Due to HHM bonuses, Guy was essentially Raven with a few points more speed and a few points less strength. :P So Eliwood... Still sadly subpar.

On the bright side, I'm locked in for Linus's chapter! So I'll get Geitz, NOT get an unpromoted Wallace (don't ask), and not get Fog of War! :D

Ahahaha, true.

NICE. I greatly prefer Linus's map. Lloyd's is okay in Eliwood mode and Wallace is good if I feel like getting a bunch of Caelin supports, but overall Linus is easier. And Geitz is actually sort of useful.
