Couple Development Questions Meme: Ginny Weasley/Luna Lovegood
All right, less uncertainty. Time to B.S. my way through anything I don't know. Banzai!
What sorts of non-lovemaking activities and such did your characters bond over?
*squirrely look* Ginny got to know Luna while she was playing protector towards her in fifth year. They also lived in the same neighborhood, so they got to know each other over the HBP and DH summers. And Luna IS a fairly interesting Quidditch commentator, albeit an utterly nutty one...
What sorts of non-lovemaking activities do they do together?
Listen to Quidditch matches. Duel. Have exciting adventures through ancient, deadly ruins. Fail to avoid provoking eldritch horrors, probably. (Let's just say that OOTP-and-after Ginny is a bit, ah, aggressive, and Luna is quite merrily oblivious to staying out of things that may shorten her lifespan...)
What kinds of things do they talk about when they're together?
Dumbledore's Army. Post-Hogwarts - adventures, the weather, the Rotfang Conspiracy, the secret origins of Quidditch, Hermione's run for Minister, Rita Skeeter's full-out sprint for England's border, the latest discoveries in Antarctica, et cetera, et cetera.
At this point, I need to state that Neville/Luna is peaceful, and Ginny/Luna is exciting. They're both happy relationships, but one of them produces a lot more content for these sorts of memes.
(Also, on a tangent, Harry is beginning to feel insecure about his effect on those with whom he has romantic relationships. This may or may not have anything to do with Cho Chang getting together with a female Muggle.)
What dreams and goals do they share?
*waves at the "what they do together" section, specifically the adventuring part*
What dreams and goals do they have that they do not share?
Well, Ginny wants to be a great Quidditch star. And a master duelist. And an adventurer. And also, she wants a My Little Pony.
Luna wants to spread the word of the Quibbler. How could you even question it?
How many children does each partner want? Have they discussed this? If not, why?
Ginny wants a more moderate size for her family, due to remembering well what a financial strain seven children places on a family. Say, two or three kids, max. Luna's fine with that.
What other plans do they have for the future? Which ones have they discussed? Why and/or why not?
Eventually, they'll settle down and stop running all over the world. Hopefully, they won't have awakened any curse that will chase them all over the world by then.
What are the most difficult situations they have faced together so far? How did they overcome them?
Do I have to repeat the "year Death Eaters ruled Hogwarts" from the previous entry? *rhetorical*
What are some of their best memories together so far?
[That information is classified by the British, Chinese, Italian, and American governments.]
[And those are the ones who will admit to having had contact with Ginny and Luna.]
[The Elder Things at the South Pole have also made complaints.]
What things do they do that get on each others' nerves?
Shall we just say that OOTP-and-later Ginny could likely pick a fight with a lamppost?
What views do your characters disagree on? How do they reconcile their differences in opinions?
See above. And the answer is that it blows over eventually. The arguments aren't deadly serious - consider them just part of life, like strong breezes.
What sorts of things did they or do they get into arguments or fights over?
In this case, it's just the same as the above answer.
How do they reconcile after arguments or fights?
They kiss and make up.Oooor do a bit more than kissing. Let your mind take you where it will.
How do they each react when the other is in pain or is troubled? What do they do to help the other?
Ginny beats the crap out of a problem if that is an option. If not... she has difficulties. But she tries to comfort as best she can.
See the Neville/Luna post for Luna's way of helping.
What is the biggest potential threat to their relationship? What is the most likely threat?
[Ginny's temper, quite frankly.] Aside from that - death or coma-inducing injury. They live exciting lives. And neither has the best sense of danger.
Most likely threat? Canonical heterosexuality. :P *dodges bricks* I mean - see above! See above!
What would each partner be willing to change about xirself for the other? What wouldn't they be willing to change for each other?
...See what I've said in the last post. But Ginny could do with a bit less impulsiveness and more control over her temper. *shrug*
