So... this Thanksgiving, what am I thankful for?
I'm thankful for renewing contacts with old friends who were still around LJ, and, though missing those who were not, making new friends as well.
I'm thankful for being able to be a help or source of entertainment to some of these friends.
I'm thankful for my brain finally starting to reboot, so that I'm less and less in a fog... and more and more in need of an attention span, admittedly.
I'm thankful for being mentally-functional and able-bodied. I'm thankful for living in a relatively prosperous country where freedom of speech is allowed and celebrated. I'm thankful for living in the internet age, where all points of views can be heard and judged, dismissed, or accepted, no matter how unusual or outside of the mainstream.
I'm thankful for my parents, who are strong, intelligent people... even if we don't get along sometimes. (There are certain disadvantages to cramming too many strong-willed people into a metaphorical confined space. And by "too many", I mean "two".)
And... really, I'm thankful that I can be of help to people, I'm thankful that I have the potential to do good in the world in real life, and I'm thankful that I've had the opportunities to do some useful things, however minor.
Happy Thanksgiving.
