If anyone saw the Nationsplaining wank on the Kink Meme, let it be known that A!Anon's reasoning was that people might get triggered by 'splaining in general, that people might get triggered by "lesser" Nations being dismissed by "greater" Nations (which doesn't happen in real life, but people from "lesser" nations being dismissed by people from "greater" nations sure as **** does, and Hetalia is all about interactions between personifications as metaphors for IRL events anyway), and that she didn't realize she had to break these things down because someone might get set off by literal Nationsplaining not being a real thing.

 

A!Anon, to be passive-aggressive, can't remember occasions where anyone went off on people tagging for dubcon-via-magic trigger because magic isn't a real thing.

A!Anon is seriously wondering if A!Anon should just start labeling as "There are triggers in here, don't read if you have any..." </passive-aggressive A!Anon is in a rush and thus not editing out the passive-aggressiveness>
 

 

 A!Anon would like to note that she has a bad time dealing with damned-if-you-do damned-if-you-don't situations, which she perceived the trigger-warning issue to be. Blah blah blah Freudian excuse blah blah blah personal weakness, TL;DR who cares anyway.

A!Anon will have to separate fictitional triggers from possible-in-IRL triggers. A!Anon is irritated that A!Anon is obligated to condescend to audience's ability to grasp fictional | real-life analogues, but A!Anon is apparently obligated to do just that.

For instance, when warning for prejudice against Muggleborns, A!Anon will have to explain that A!Anon knows there is no such thing as a Muggleborn. And that, if warning for a character suffering abuse due to being seen as subhuman due to magical/species/mutant status, that there is no such thing as magical/species/mutant status. &c &c &c, else I 'd be disrespecting someone's trigger. 

A!Anon is just flabbergasted. A!Anon has other fandoms and occupations to entertain A!Anon, fortunately, but... wow. 

A!Anon would not be dumbfounded if A!Anon had been called out over fic content or LACK of a trigger warning.

But INCLUDING a trigger warning? 

Whaaat?!
